A project to reclaim the slag dump along Nine Mile Run, between Squirrel Hill and Edgewood/Swissvale.
Pittsburgh Green Story
pittsburghgreenstory.org, an account of the cleaning up of Pittsburgh, is a project of the Green Building Alliance and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council with funding support from The Heinz Endowments and the Richard K. Mellon Foundation.

AMR Clearinghouse - Abandoned Mine Reclamation Clearinghouse
AMRClearinghouse.org is an information clearinghouse for Pennsylvania watershed associations, especially those associations dealing with abandoned mine reclamation issues.
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Land Recycling Program
The Land Recycling Program encourages private cleanups of contaminated properties and the return of those sites to productive use. Includes links to other sites. Their Pennsylvania Brownfields Directory has been replaced by PA Site Finder (see above).

EPA Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response: Brownfields
A special project of the US Environmental Protection Agency that works with and funds pilot projects with other organizations in dealing with brownfields and their reuse.

Ensures that brownfields decision makers are aware of the full range of technologies available to make informed decisions for their site.
